Asian Slaw with Toasted Sesame Oil & Blackberry Ginger Dark Balsamic Vinagrette

ASIAN SLAW

Featured Oil: Toasted Sesame Oil & Blood Orange Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Featured Vinegar: Blackberry Ginger Dark Balsamic

1. Mix the following into a large bowl:

    • Shredded medium red cabbage (equal to ~ 5-6 cups, shredded)
    • Shredded large carrot
    • 2 x large bell pepper, thinly sliced
    • Bunch of scallions, roughly chopped
    • Bunch of cilantro, roughly chopped

2. In a small bowl, whisk together the following:

    • ¾ cup Blood Orange Extra Virgin Olive Oil
    • ¼ cup Blackberry Ginger Dark Balsamic
    • 1 - 3 Tbs Sesame Seed Oil
    • 1 Tbs Soy Sauce
    • 1 tsp Dijon-style mustard
    • Salt & freshly ground pepper, to taste

3. Toss the dressing into the large bowl of veggies. Let the slaw sit for 30 minutes in the fridge before serving.

4. Add salt and pepper to taste. If you like it a little sweeter, add a light drizzle of honey. Serve with slivered almonds.
